Learning Support Assitant
A Hare Krishna faith school primary school in Watford are looking to appoint a learning support assistant (preferably with a level 2 qualification in Teaching and Learning or equivalent) to support children with special educational needs and other groups of children.
They have a fantastic team of teaching and support staff who are friendly, approachable and supportive of each other. This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
This position would be to start September 2023, term time only.
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Have experience working with SEN children
- Assess the individual learning needs of pupils
- Positively manage challenging behaviour
- Work with teachers to find bespoke and individualised child centred education to help engage the children
- Work with children in small groups and on a one to one basis
A successful candidate will need:
- Right to work
- Two proof of addresses
- References for the last two years
- DBS on the update system or willing to purchase
