Learning Support Assistant

Secondary Schools across Bath are seeking Learning Support Assistant to join their collaborative teaching and support teams to work closely with students on both a 1:1 and small group basis. This is an exciting opportunity for motiviated and caring inidividuals to either kickstart their career within education, or those with an education background seeking a new challenge. 

We are keen to hear from individuals from backgrounds in Care, Youth or Social Work, Sport Coaching or creative industries. This list is not exhaustive, so if you feel you have what it takes to support young people academically, socially and emotionally, we strongly encourage you to apply. 

Start: September and October start dates

Hours: 8.30am-3.30pm (part time applicants will be considered) 

The role involves:  

  • Working with young people that require additional support in the classroom
  • Creating a safe and encouraging learning environment where students can make the most of their education
  • Working on a 1:1 basis, or in small groups, helping with educational behavioural or social development
  • Communicating between students, teachers and possibly families
  • Catch up and revision strategies
  • Note taking in lessons

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
