I am recruiting enthusiastic a learning support assistant for a Primary School in Watford. This role includes working closely with a child who has Spastic Diplegia. The child is in a wheelchair and will need someone caring who can help him with therapy exercises. To communicate the child uses an AAC (tablet/laptop) device which supports him with toileting, transfers supported, learning, learning differentiated and sometimes follows his own differentiated curriculum. He is in year 3 however is working at a year 1 level.

The ideal person will be caring, supportive and dedicated. Your role will be to provide support for individual pupils and to helping them engage in learning.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • 2 References
  • Knowledge/experience working with children with SEND
  • Support children with special educational needs in a calm and patient manner
