You know that moment when a child finally “gets it”?
That’s your favourite part.
If you’re a Learning Support Assistant who thrives on helping pupils build confidence, independence, and belief in themselves, we’ve got long-term roles in primary schools across Lambeth that could be a perfect fit.
These aren’t day-to-day bookings. These are settled, five-day-a-week positions where you become part of the team, part of the routine, and part of a child’s real progress story.
What you’ll be doing:
-
Supporting pupils with additional learning needs in class
-
Delivering small group interventions
-
Working closely with teachers and SENCOs
-
Helping children regulate, refocus, and re-engage
-
Building trust, consistency, and confidence every single day
Some roles include 1:1 support for pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs. If you’ve worked in SEND settings before, even better. If not, but you’re keen to learn, we’ll support you.
We’re looking for someone who:
-
Has experience supporting children in school, care, youth work, or similar settings
-
Stays calm when things feel big
-
Notices the quiet wins as well as the loud ones
-
Can commit to five days a week, long-term
-
Wants to feel genuinely valued for what they bring
You’re not “just” support staff. You’re the steady presence. The safe space. The reason a child walks into school feeling okay.
What the school offers:
-
Supportive leadership and clear routines
-
Ongoing training and development
-
A team who appreciate what you do
-
A real opportunity to make a difference
What you’ll get from Protocol Education:
-
Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella companies
-
FREE access to our online CPD Academy
-
A dedicated consultant who actually listens
-
Roles in mainstream, SEND, and alternative provisions
-
Simple, streamlined registration
-
Referral scheme, earn rewards for referring friends
