We are working with a large, inclusive secondary school in Northumberland to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support pupils across KS3–KS5. The school has a strong reputation for high expectations, personalised support, and a supportive learning environment, making it an excellent setting for an LSA who wants to make a real difference.
You will work closely with teachers, SEN and pastoral teams to help pupils access lessons, develop confidence, and achieve their potential.

£90 – £110 per day | PAYE | Depending on experience
11–18 secondary school with sixth form provision
Strong commitment to student wellbeing and academic success
Clear behaviour expectations and structured routines
Supportive SEN and pastoral teams
Calm, purposeful classrooms with high expectations
Convenient location with accessible transport links across Northumberland and nearby areas
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs
Assist teachers in the classroom to promote engagement and understanding
Support pupils with emotional regulation, confidence, and independence
Help monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching and SEN staff
Contribute to a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Experience working with children or young people (including education, care, youth work, tutoring)
Calm, patient, and proactive approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Confidence supporting behaviour and engagement in a secondary setting
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
PAYE only — no umbrella companies
Weekly pay with competitive daily rates

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
