We are working with a large, high-achieving secondary school with a strong focus on inclusion and student wellbeing to recruit a Learning Support Assistant. The role involves supporting pupils across KS3–KS5, working closely with teaching staff, the SEN team, and pastoral leads.

The role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN or additional learning needs

  • Support pupils to access a challenging, academic curriculum

  • Assist in maintaining focus, confidence, and engagement in lessons

  • Support emotional regulation and independence where required

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams

The ideal candidate

  • Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, tutoring, etc.)

  • Calm, patient, and proactive approach

  • Confident supporting SEN and SEMH needs

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
