Learning Support Assistant

Location: Hackney, East London

We are working closely with a welcoming and inclusive school in Hackney that is seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant to join their support team.

This role is ideal for someone who is committed to helping pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The school places a strong emphasis on inclusion, positive relationships, and providing the right support to help every child access learning.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

  • Assisting with learning activities and adapting support to meet individual needs

  • Supporting pupils with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs

  • Working collaboratively with class teachers and the wider support team

  • Helping to maintain a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment

The school is looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people, ideally within an education or support setting

  • Is patient, reliable, and confident building positive relationships

  • Can follow guidance while showing initiative where appropriate

  • Is available for a full-time position

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
