A vibrant and inclusive school in Ealing is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEND Specialist to provide tailored support for a pupil with additional needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to a pupil with SEND, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional needs are met.
- Develop and implement tailored strategies and interventions to support the pupil’s learning and development.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCO, and other professionals to deliver an inclusive and effective learning experience.
- Foster a positive and nurturing relationship with the pupil, building trust and promoting confidence.
- Monitor the pupil’s progress and contribute to reports and assessments for their education plan.
- Help create an inclusive classroom environment where the pupil can fully participate in activities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in a 1:1 capacity.
- Strong understanding of SEND strategies and the ability to adapt approaches to suit individual needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with children who may have additional challenges.
- A relevant qualification in education, SEND, or child development is desirable but not essential.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
