Protocol Education is excited to be recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Colchester! This full-time role is perfect for someone who loves working closely with pupils and helping them thrive in a supportive environment.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Support pupils’ learning: Work closely with children who need extra help in class, providing tailored support to meet their needs.
One-on-one and group work: Assist pupils individually or in small groups, boosting their confidence and academic progress.
Encourage independence: Help children develop the skills to tackle challenges and build resilience.
Monitor progress: Share observations with teachers to plan the best strategies for pupils.
Promote positive behaviour: Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all children.
Lead interventions: Deliver activities or programs designed to support learning and emotional development.
Supervise play and breaks: Ensure pupils are safe and enjoying themselves during non-classroom activities.
Be a team player: Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to support the school community.


What We’re Looking For:

✨ Someone who’s kind, patient, and dedicated to helping children succeed.
Experience working with children in a school or similar setting is a bonus, but enthusiasm is key!
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
You’ll need a valid driving license and access to a car.
A flexible and proactive approach to meeting the needs of the children.
