Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Location: East of England, Essex, Billericay

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £18500 - £18800 Per annum

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans
  • Work closely with teachers to provide additional support in the classroom
  • Help students with personal care and mobility needs
  • Monitor and record student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience working with individuals with special educational needs
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role within an educational setting
  • Knowledge of different learning difficulties and disabilities
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • First Aid training
  • Mental Health First Aid qualification

Working Conditions:

  • Working hours may vary, including some evenings or weekends for special events

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
