Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities in a classroom setting
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Help students with academic tasks and personal care needs
  • Work closely with teachers to create a supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience working with individuals with learning difficulties
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Relevant qualification in Education, Teaching Assistant, or Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Experience:

Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of different learning styles and needs
  • Ability to provide emotional support to students
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Regular working hours, typically Monday to Friday
  • Work within a school environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
