Job Duties:

1. Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting.

2. Assist the lead teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students.

3. Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development.

4. Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

5. Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor student progress and adjust support as needed.

Required Qualifications:

- A relevant qualification in education or special educational needs.

- Experience working with children or young people with SEN.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

A degree or equivalent qualification in Education, Special Educational Needs, or a related field.

Experience:

Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting.

Knowledge and Skills:

- Understanding of SEN support strategies and techniques.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude towards students.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional training in specific areas of SEN, such as autism or speech and language difficulties.

- Certification iN safeguarding children.

Working Conditions:

- The role may involve some physical activity, such as assisting students with mobility issues.

- Working hours may vary depending on the school's schedule and events.

- The position may require occasional attendance at parent-teacher meetings or training sessions outside of normal working hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
