Protocol Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a reputable primary school in Colchester. This exciting opportunity involves working on a 1:1 basis with a child with Special Educational Needs.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to enhance the child's learning experience and overall well-being
Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with a specific SEND child, providing individualized assistance to meet their educational and developmental needs.

Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to create and implement effective strategies that support the child's learning and social integration.

Modify materials and activities to accommodate the unique learning styles and abilities of the SEND child.

Regularly assess and record the child's progress, providing feedback to the teaching team and parents or guardians.

Implement positive behaviour management techniques to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Maintain open and clear communication with parents, teachers, and other relevant stakeholders regarding the child's progress and any concerns.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working with children with SEND is diserable
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare is diserable (e.g., CACHE Level 3, Teaching Assistant qualification).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
