A Special Educational Needs provision, based in the Hinckley, Shepshed and Leicestershire area, require staff to support pupils aged between 5 to 19 years with a variety of special needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), SEMH, behaviours that challenge, MLD, SLD and speech, language and communications needs. Staff are encouraged to help pupils build on their resilience, respect, confidence and to take responsibility for their work and behaviour, in order to reach their full potential.
The provision require confident, caring, empathetic and reliable teaching assistants or Higher-Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join their support team. You will be required to provide general support and to work on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, delivering the work set by the Teacher.
Previous experience of working with Special Education Needs pupils is desirable, but not essential. Those wishing to gain experience in this field are more than welcome to apply for the position but need to explain what transferable skills they have to bring to the role. Training can be provided to successful candidates. All applicants must be able to drive and have access to a car at all times. Team Teach & NAPPI training (or similar training) are highly desirable but not essential as training can be provided.

About the Role:
Special Needs Teaching Assistant or HLTAs
ASAP – Full time and Part time work available (Min of 3 days)
Monday to Friday (Term Time)
8.30am – 4.00pm
£385 - £435 per week
Need to be able to drive and have access to a car at all times - essential
Ideal Candidate:
Previous childcare/SEN experience (6 months or more) - highly desirable but not essential (please state transferable skills for the role)

Team Teach & NAPPI trained or experienced - highly desirable but not essential.
TA Qualification L3 - desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
