At Protocol Education, we’re currently recruiting for LSA's across the Telford and Shropshire areas, for Secondary Schools.

We have daily, short term and long term work opportunities available with them and can offer regular work and excellent pay rates for Learning Support Assistants.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with learning difficulties, disabilities, or additional educational needs.
  • Assist students in accessing the curriculum and adapting learning materials to suit their individual needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement personalised learning plans for students.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment, promoting students' self-confidence and independence.
  • Observe and monitor student progress, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
  • Support students in developing essential life skills and social interactions.
  • Encourage and motivate students to participate in school activities and engage in extracurricular opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role as a Learning Support Assistant or teaching assistant is desirable but not essential.
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and helping them overcome educational challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Empathy, patience, and understanding of the diverse needs of students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the changing demands of the school environment.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusivity and equality within the school community.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, child care, or special educational needs will be advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
