We are currently looking for Learning Support Assistants  to work in secondary schools across North Tyneside. You will ideally will have a passion for working with young people aged 11-16 years old. The work can be very highly rewarding; however it can also be challenging too so you need to be resilient, clam, composed and have the ability to manage challenging behaviour in the school. Many students have challenging home lives and have complex communication needs, learning difficulties or are autistic and some occasionally present with challenging behaviours.

For you to be successful in the role you will need:

  • Understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental Health
  • Passionate about supporting Children and Young People to overcome challenges and barriers to learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
