Protocol Education are working closely with an over-subscribed secondary school located in Chingford who are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant for October 2022. 

The main duties of a Learning Support Assistant consist of promoting the learning and personal development of the students who you are working with to enable them to make the most of their educational journey. 

You will be supporting the class teacher with their core subjects as well as vocational courses.

The successful candidate will work closely with students and require a sensitive and caring personality. 

It is desirable for the candidate to have existing experience working with children or adults that have complex needs and or challenge behaviour.

One of the key values of the school is to provide an inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to be the best, they can be hence why they scored Good in their latest Ofsted report.

Requirements of a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Delivery of person-centred approach, one-to-one and small group interventions
  • Ability to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills
  • Capability to sustain the development of pupils, educational and behaviour related
  • Support students to meet their goals through communication, independence, and participation

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
