Learning Mentors required!

At Protocol Education, we work with a number of SEN Schools and Pupil Referral Units across London.

We are constantly on the lookout for Learning Mentors, who have the passion and time to build rapport with students and to help them stay focussed on their studies.

This is a challenging role, in today’s society there are many trials that children face, emotional challenges, neglect, radicalisation, abuse and mental health are just some examples.

We are looking for Learning Mentors who can see a challenge and can overcome it. Such as working with a student with behavioural issues, breaking down why they act in this way, and helping teach the student a new way to deal with their problems.

You need to be resilient in this role, it is not uncommon for the students to be verbally abusive, and you need to be resilient enough to know this is not personal, it means more work needs to be done.

We can offer an option to undertake a Team Teach course through Protocol Education, which will teach you the practical and theory side of deescalating challenging behaviour, which may be advantageous when considering this role.

You would be working 8:30am to 3:30pm.
