Learning mentor needed for school in South Gloucestershire
Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a full-time learning mentor position in a fantastic Secondary School in South Gloucestershire. The school prides itself on upholding the belief that all children can thrive in their educational experience, regardless of need or background. The school is looking for an enthusiastic, caring and driven individual who shares this belief and is passionate about education.
Whilst it is advantageous if you have experience in an education setting, this is not essential. We are keen to hear from individuals who have the transferable skills and desire to help young people progress in education.
Start date: 1st December
Location: BS37
Hours: Full time (8:30-3:30)
About the role:
- Working primarily on a 1:1 basis with students however some group work may also be involved
- Manage and positively influence behaviour of students to ensure a meaningful engagement with the curriculum
- Employ various techniques to help support with students learning
- Support teaching staff where necessary
- Follow all safeguarding procedures and raise any concerns as appropriate
- Create meaningful engagement with both students and fellow teaching staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
