This role is for a Learning Mentor who is open to supporting children who may have social, emotional and/or mental health needs.

As a Learning Mentor you will be a strong team player who will contribute to the wider life of the school, have excellent communication skills and be able to work positively with children and staff.

As well as building positive relationships and supporting vulnerable students you will be identifying barriers to learning whilst delivering and planning programmes of support.

The school has exceptional facilities with state-of-the-art equipment and building and the classrooms are fitted with modern technology.

This school is located in the Walthamstow region and is in close proximity of the A12 and A406 with parking available and good public transport links nearby.

 

Requirements:

  • Work with the class teacher and wider team
  • Empathetic and patient whilst dealing with children
  • Capability to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills

You will be working across a range of age groups from Year 7-Year 11, it is therefore important that you feel confident supporting students up to the age of 16 (KS4).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
