KS4 Teaching Assistant
If you’re confident supporting older pupils and enjoy helping them prepare for their next steps, this KS4 Teaching Assistant role in Gateshead could be a fantastic opportunity. The school is looking for someone organised, supportive and ready to help pupils succeed in the lead-up to exams.
What the role involves
You’ll work with students in Years 10 and 11, supporting them during lessons, revision sessions and focused interventions. KS4 pupils often benefit from reassurance, structure and help with organisation, and your guidance will make a meaningful impact on their progress.
Your day-to-day
- Supporting pupils with classwork, revision and exam preparation
- Providing targeted help to learners who need extra encouragement
- Assisting teachers with tasks, resources and classroom routines
- Helping pupils stay organised, focused and confident
- Collaborating with teachers, TAs and pastoral teams
What you’ll bring to the role
- Experience supporting young people, ideally in secondary settings
- A patient, encouraging manner
- Confidence supporting pupils with exam-related pressures
- Clear communication and behaviour support skills
- An enhanced DBS, or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
