Protocol Education are currently seeking an engaging and inspirational SEN teacher to work at a school based in Barnet.

About the role

-The role starts from Summer term 2023,

-KS4/5 ASC teacher working with 8 pupils (semi-formal curriculum, working around year 1 level, some verbal, some non-verbal).

-Guidance and support will be given by head of dpt.

-The post comes with 1 full day PPA paid per week.

 

About the school:

-Located in NW2 ITR

-Secondary special needs school for students with severe and complex learning difficulties

-91 students across eleven class groups. Each class team has one teacher with three to five Learning Support Assistants.

-Range of facilities, such as a ‘Sensory Studio’, a Library, a Life Skills Room, a Soft Play Cabin, a Multigym and a Hydrotherapy Pool.

-Total Communication environment using signs and symbols (such as PECS). Staff are trained to use PECS and Makaton. All staff are accredited in the TEAM-TEACH approach to managing behaviour that challenges positively.
