We’re on the hunt for a kind, capable, and KS2-savvy Teaching Assistant to support brilliant pupils across welcoming primary schools in Lewisham. From helping Year 3s master their times tables to high-fiving Year 6s through SATs season, this role is all about keeping learning fun, focused, and full of heart.

  • Supporting the class teacher with daily routines, behaviour, and lesson prep

  • Working 1:1 and in small groups—especially on reading, writing, and numeracy

  • Encouraging independence and building confidence across the upper years

  • Creating a calm, consistent classroom vibe (yes, even when it’s fractions Friday)

  • Celebrating small wins—because every lightbulb moment counts

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working in a primary school or KS2 setting

  • A warm, patient, and positive approach (you’re the calm in the chaos)

  • Someone who’ll jump into story time, spelling bees, and tidy-up time alike

  • SEN experience is a bonus, but not essential

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or happy to apply for one)
