Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons for Key Stage 2 students
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support where necessary
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development and well-being
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and behaviour

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2
  • Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Key Stage 2
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Key Stage 2

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development and effective teaching methods
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Proficient in using technology to enhance learning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Specialist training in literacy or numeracy

Working Conditions:

Work in a school setting with regular hours, term-time work patterns, and occasional evening events or meetings. May involve some additional responsibilities outside of teaching hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
