A fantastic SEND school in Durham is looking for a calm, encouraging and committed KS2 Learning Support Assistant to join their team. What you’ll be doing
You’ll be supporting KS2 pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning in a way that feels safe, structured and meaningful. Every pupil is unique, so your role is all about meeting them where they are and helping them grow with confidence.
Your day could include:

1:1 or small-group support across KS2
-
Helping with communication, sensory needs and emotional regulation
-
Using structured routines and visual supports
-
Encouraging independence and positive engagement
-
Working closely with teachers, SENCO and therapy staff
-
Celebrating every step forward, big and small

A good communicator who works well as part of a team
Experience in SEND is ideal, but if you’ve worked in care, youth work, early years, or similar settings, your skills will transfer brilliantly.
