Protocol Education are working with a welcoming, well-established primary school who are looking for a confident and committed KS2 Learning Assistant to join them after half term.
This isn’t just about supporting lessons. It’s about helping children build confidence, resilience and independence at a key stage where expectations grow and self-belief really matters.

What you’ll be doing:

Supporting pupils across KS2 in class

Delivering small group interventions in English and maths

Providing targeted 1:1 support where needed

Helping pupils stay focused, organised and engaged

Working closely with the class teacher to adapt learning materials

Encouraging independence and celebrating progress
You’ll play a key role in helping pupils prepare for the transition to secondary school, academically and emotionally.
We’re looking for someone who:

Has experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in KS2
-
Is confident supporting English and maths learning
-
Can build positive relationships quickly
-
Communicates clearly and calmly
-
Is proactive, reliable and a strong team player
-
Believes in high expectations with the right support in place
A sense of humour and the ability to keep Year 5 and 6 pupils motivated definitely helps.

What we need to get you started
Because you’ll be working in a school setting, safeguarding is everything. To get you cleared and ready to start, we’ll need:

A valid passport

Two proofs of address, for example a driving licence, utility bill or council tax letter

A CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained

Two years of references, including recent school or childcare employment
-
An overseas police check if you have lived outside the UK for three months or more in the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
