The role:

Working in KS2 classrooms across South Bristol

Supervising pre-set work in line with the school’s policies and expectations

Supporting pupils to stay focused, motivated and on task

Managing classroom behaviour positively and consistently
-
Creating a calm, purposeful learning environment
-
De-escalating situations appropriately, with safeguarding always at the forefront
-
Collecting completed work and returning it to the class teacher
-
Reporting any safeguarding concerns in line with school procedures
About you:

Someone who genuinely cares about children’s education and wellbeing

Confident working with pupils aged 7–11 and building positive relationships

Passionate about helping children develop confidence, independence and resilience

Willing to go the extra mile and make a real difference in the classroom

A clear, confident communicator with strong literacy skills

Degree educated

Experience positively supporting children or young people, in any setting, is valued

What we need to get you started:

Right to work in the UK, passport or share code

Two proofs of address, such as a driving licence or utility bill

CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained

Two years of references, including childcare or youth work where relevant

Overseas Police Check if you’ve lived abroad for three months or more in the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
