We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Class Teacher to join our school in Basildon. Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Deliver Lessons: Create and deliver engaging, interactive lessons for Key Stage 2 students.
  • Monitor Progress: Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and senior staff.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work alongside fellow teachers to develop a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Engage in School Activities: Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
  • Ensure Student Well-Being: Follow school policies and procedures to maintain the safety and well-being of all students.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2 students.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and foster a positive learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Qualification in Education.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Familiarity with using technology to enhance teaching and learning.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time role with regular school hours, Monday to Friday. Some evening or weekend commitments may be required for school events or meetings.
