This long-term KS1 Teaching Assistant role offers structure, routine and a welcoming school environment.

Protocol Education works with Primary Schools across Gateshead to provide consistent KS1 classroom support.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting children in KS1 classrooms

  • Helping with phonics sessions and learning activities

  • Supporting behaviour through calm, clear routines

  • Encouraging independence and confidence

  • Being a steady presence in the classroom

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience with young children

  • Is kind, calm and dependable

  • Enjoys working as part of a team

  • Can commit to long-term, full-time work

  • Can apply for an enhanced DBS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
