KS1 Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Supply Role
Bradford | Immediate Start | Full-Time Supply

Love helping little learners build confidence and curiosity? We’ve got a brilliant KS1 role that could be right up your street.

Protocol Education is on the lookout for a supportive and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our supply team in Bradford. This full-time role involves working across Year 1 and Year 2 classes, helping pupils make progress, stay engaged, and enjoy their learning every day.

Coming from nursery or early years?
If you’ve been working with younger children and fancy a move into schools, KS1 is a fantastic step up. You’ll bring your early years experience into a classroom setting—still working those lovely 8:30–3:30pm hours, just with a few more spellings and sums!

What you’ll be doing:
• Supporting pupils in small groups and one-to-one
• Encouraging confidence, independence, and focus in learning
• Working closely with teachers to create a positive, structured classroom
• Helping children navigate routines, friendships, and phonics

What we’re looking for:
• Experience supporting pupils in KS1 or early years (school or childcare settings welcome)
• A kind, proactive, and positive approach
• Someone who loves seeing pupils grow and succeed
• Level 2 or Level 3 TA / Early Years qualification (or relevant experience)

What’s in it for you?
• Weekly pay through PAYE (no umbrella companies, no hidden fees)
• FREE access to our online CPD Academy – build your skills while you work
• 1:1 support from your local consultant (real people, no endless forms)
• Opportunities across mainstream, SEND, and alternative settings
• Referral rewards when you bring a friend along

Bonus: Not Thrive trained yet? No problem – we’ll enrol you for free! Thrive training helps you support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and makes your profile shine with schools.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
