KS1 Teaching Assistant - Hackney

Salary: £90 - £100 Per day - PAYE

Protocol Education are currently working with a mainstream school in Hackney who are looking for an experienced KS1 TA to join them in September.

Our partner school is looking for a TA with a strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and a good knowledge of Phonics. You will be joining an experienced KS1 team who have produced brilliant results in the last few years.

You will be working across several year groups within Key Stage 1 so you will need to be flexible on a daily basis.

You will be responsible for working with children on a 1:1 basis but also with the class more generally.

This is a great oppurtunity to join a school who really invest in their staff well-being and will provide ongoing training and support.

Job Duties:

  • Support the Key Stage 1 teacher in delivering lessons and activities
  • Assist with classroom management and student behaviour
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance
  • Prepare and set up equipment and resources for lessons
  • Assess and record student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Enhanced DBS check

Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a school setting
  • Experience in supporting children's learning and development

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Organisational skills and ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid certification
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
