Are you an enthusiastic and caring KS1 Teacher looking to join a warm and welcoming school community in Chelmsford?
We are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to become part of our friendly team, where collaboration, creativity, and compassion are at the heart of everything we do.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced KS1 Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) ready to take the next step in their teaching journey. As our new KS1 Teacher, you will inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning among your pupils. You’ll work closely with a passionate team of teachers and support staff to deliver a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum that helps every child thrive — both academically and personally.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom where all children feel valued and motivated to succeed

  • Work collaboratively with fellow KS1 teachers, support staff, and subject leaders to share ideas and best practice

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers to support children’s development and wellbeing

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its caring, community-focused ethos

The Successful KS1 Teacher Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience or a strong understanding of teaching within Key Stage 1

  • A creative and nurturing approach to teaching and learning

  • Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
