Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant who thrives in structured, nurturing KS1 environments?
This lovely primary school in Hillingdon is looking for a skilled KS1 SEND TA to support pupils with Autism, communication needs, ADHD and sensory regulation challenges.
You’ll be joining a calm, well-organised Year 1/Year 2 team where consistency, patience and high expectations make a real difference to children who need routine and understanding.
⭐️ What you’ll be doing:

1:1 support for pupils with Autism or communication needs
-
Helping with routines, transitions, emotional regulation and sensory strategies
-
Supporting early literacy and numeracy in KS1
-
Using visuals, timetables and structured tasks
-
Running small SEND intervention groups where needed
-
Working closely with a very supportive SENCo and class teacher
⭐️ You MUST have:
-
Previous SEND experience (Autism essential)

Experience supporting pupils in KS1
-
Strong behaviour-support and de-escalation skills
-
Understanding of communication needs and sensory processing
-
A calm, compassionate, reliable approach
Desirable (not essential):
-
Autism Awareness training
-
Experience with speech & language support
-
Knowledge of social stories and visual strategies
