Love working in a busy kitchen and want hours that fit around your life? We’re looking for reliable Kitchen Assistants to support secondary school kitchens across Tower Hamlets.

You’ll be part of the team that keeps the school day running smoothly, helping prepare and serve meals, keeping the kitchen clean and safe, and making sure students are well fed and ready to learn. It’s hands-on, fast-paced work, but you’ll never be on your own.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting food prep and basic cooking

  • Serving meals during busy lunch periods

  • Keeping kitchens clean, tidy and safe

  • Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures

  • Working as part of a friendly, supportive kitchen team

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is reliable, punctual and happy to muck in

  • Has experience in a kitchen or catering environment (schools are a bonus, not a must)

  • Enjoys working in a team and keeping things running smoothly

  • Understands the importance of safeguarding in schools

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
