SEN Teaching Assistant

Full Time

A welcoming and well-established secondary school is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its Learning Support and Enrichment team.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to young people’s lives while developing your own skills and experience in a specialist setting.

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils access the Key Stage 4 curriculum. You’ll provide tailored support to individuals and small groups, adapting your approach to meet each student’s needs and helping to create a calm, inclusive learning environment.

No previous experience is required, as training and support will be provided. What matters most is your enthusiasm, commitment, and genuine interest in supporting young people with additional needs.

You will:

Have a positive, patient, and empathetic approach

Enjoy working with young people from diverse backgrounds

Be able to communicate clearly with students, staff, and parents

Show flexibility and a willingness to learn new strategies

Be committed to inclusion and supporting pupils to achieve their potential

A relevant qualification in education or a related field is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
