Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher

Location: Hackney, London

Start date: September 2024 - this is a contract to run for the duration of the academic year.

Salary: To scale from day 1 

Protocol Education are currently working with a lovely 1-form entry school in Hackney who are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 teacher for the new academic year.

Ideally you will have 2+ years experience but the school are open to applications from brilliant ECT's. There is the capacity to support you from day one.

You will be teaching a KS2 class of 28, with one child with an EHCP however they do have a dedicated support assistant who works closely with them throughout the day.

This church school has a strong community ethos and the successful teacher will be encouraged to immerse themselves into this culture.

You will have the support of a strong leadership team who value the hardwork and dedication of their classroom teachers.

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for Key Stage 2 students
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curriculum
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development and school events

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with Key Stage 2 students
  • Knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Key Stage 1

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
  • Specialist training in Key Stage 2 education

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a school setting, following term-time schedules and participating in school events and meetings. The teacher may need to adapt to the needs of Key Stage 2 students and collaborate with fellow educators.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
