Inclusion Support Worker

Protocol Education are working with a school in the Teesside area who are after an inclusion support worker to support their students aged 5 to 19 with a range of SEMH (Social, Emothional and Mental Health) needs who may also have other complex needs such as ASC (autism spectrum condition), ADHD and developmental delay. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday. The hours are 8.30 to 3.30 Monday to Thursday and 8.30 to 1.30 on a Friday. 

The school:

  • Set high goals and expectations for the students
  • The curriculum is tailored to the needs and interests of the students
  • Work hard to reduce learning barriers

Responsibilities:

  • Support students in their personal and educational development
  • Handle behaviours that challenge and de-escalate situations
  • Quickly build rapport with the students
  • Work as a team with the teacher and other staff members

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with ASC
  • Confidently be able to handle challenging behaviours
  • Have a nurturing and patient personality
  • Use an innovative approach to learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
