 Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with diverse needs including SEN, EAL (English as an Additional Language), and behavioral challenges

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils across classroom and extracurricular activities

  • Assist in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities

  • Use ICT to support learning and help pupils develop independence

  • Provide clerical and administrative support (e.g., photocopying, filing, liaising with external agencies)

  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to reviews and reports

 

Skills & Qualities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability

  • Ability to follow safeguarding and behavior management policies

  • Experience working with children or young people in educational settings is highly valued

 

Qualifications

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is often preferred

  • Training in SEN, safeguarding, or behavior support is advantageous

 

Typical Settings

  • Mainstream primary or secondary schools

  • Specialist inclusion units or alternative provision settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
