This friendly primary school in Gateshead is seeking a Teaching Assistant who brings calm energy and a supportive presence across the school. It’s a great opportunity for ECTs looking to gain experience across key stages while working alongside skilled teachers.
You’ll support learning from early phonics through to upper KS2, helping pupils engage, stay focused, and achieve their goals.
Your role will include

Supporting learning across KS1 and KS2

Leading small group and 1:1 interventions

Reinforcing positive behaviour and classroom routines

Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing

Working collaboratively with teachers to adapt lessons

Experience with additional needs (desirable, not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
