We’re working with a welcoming secondary school in Retford that’s looking for a confident Humanities Teacher. Whether your background is History, Geography, RE, or a mix of the lot, the school is open to meeting someone who brings energy, clarity, and a genuine love of big questions.

What the role looks like

  • Teaching Humanities across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available if you’d enjoy it)

  • Creating lessons that get students thinking, discussing, and challenging ideas

  • Working closely with a supportive department

  • Planning, marking, and contributing to the wider curriculum

  • Building positive relationships with pupils and helping them make real progress

  • Bringing your subject to life with stories, context, and a bit of creative flair

What the school is hoping for

  • A teacher with UK QTS or equivalent

  • Strong subject knowledge in at least one Humanities area

  • Someone who can explain big concepts in simple, memorable ways
