Do you love bringing the past, people, and places to life? We’re looking for a passionate Humanities Teacher to join secondary schools across North Tyneside.
Whether your specialism is History, Geography, or Religious Studies, you’ll help students make sense of the world around them — encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and an appreciation for different perspectives.
This role is perfect for experienced teachers and ECTs alike, and we’ll work with you to find a school that suits your teaching style and ambitions.
What you’ll do:

Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

Encourage students to explore ideas, cultures, and contexts

Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
You’ll need:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent

Strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, or RE

Good communication and classroom management skills

A flexible, professional approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
