This is a school where people choose to stay.

A well-established, welcoming secondary school with a strong sense of community, clear routines, and leadership that genuinely backs its staff. The corridors are calm, classrooms are purposeful, and pupils are curious, especially when lessons spark discussion, debate, and different ways of seeing the world.

The Humanities department is a real strength of the school. Collaborative, well-resourced, and passionate about helping pupils understand people, places, and the bigger picture beyond the classroom. They’re now looking for a part-time Humanities teacher to join them on a permanent basis, someone who enjoys teaching KS3 and KS4 and wants to build something long term.

The role

You’ll be teaching Humanities across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that encourage pupils to think critically, ask questions, and connect learning to the real world. The timetable is part-time and thoughtfully structured, making it a great fit if you’re looking for balance without stepping away from meaningful classroom practice.

You’ll be joining:

  • A settled, supportive department with shared planning

  • Classes with clear expectations and consistent behaviour

  • A school that values strong subject knowledge and great teaching, not box-ticking

This is not a temporary solution or a short-term fix. The school is investing in someone who wants to become part of the fabric of the department and the wider school community.

Why this school?

  • Supportive and visible leadership who trust their teachers

  • A Humanities team that shares ideas and supports one another

  • Clear systems that make teaching easier, not harder

  • Pupils who are engaged and proud of their school

  • A permanent, part-time opportunity with real stability

It’s the kind of place where your subject is valued, your time is respected, and your contribution matters.
