Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

We’re looking for a brilliant HLTA to join our team, supporting primary schools across Southwark. You’ll be stepping into the classroom to lead learning, support teachers, and make a real difference to young learners who need that extra boost.
What you’ll be doing:

Leading whole-class sessions across EYFS, KS1, or KS2

Supporting pupils with interventions and targeted support

Working closely with class teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning

Building strong relationships with students and supporting positive behaviour

Helping create a calm, safe and productive classroom environment
What you bring to the table:

HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
-
Confidence in leading learning with small groups or whole classes
-
Experience in primary settings—EYFS, KS1, or KS2
-
A nurturing, flexible and proactive approach
-
A great sense of humour (bonus points for playground game knowledge!)
