HLTA - Swindon
Protocol Education are working alongside Secondary Schools and SEND Schools throughout Swindon to appoint High Level Teaching Assistants. The role of a HLTA involves supporting children in school, and leading and assisting with teaching in classes. This will include regular cover for teacher release time for PPA etc.
Start - After Easter
Job Overview
- Contribute effectively to the class teachers planning and preparation of lessons and interventions.
- Work within the topic set by the teacher and support and plan own role within the lesson
- Deliver effective one to one and small group interventions to help develop learning and fill in missing gaps of understanding.
- Assist class teacher and wider teaching team in behaviour management and promoting school values
- Occasionally cover lessons across the Maths department.

- HLTA status or evidence of/willing to work towards one.
- Evidence of high quality teaching standards
- Passion for teaching and who truly enjoys working with young people.
- Strong subject knowledge
- Ability to build strong, professional rapport with both staff and students
- Commitment to promoting the schools ethos and values
