Protocol Education are currently working with an established primary school based in enfield. The school has been established and is well recognised for over 60 years and has been rated "OUTSTANDING" by ofsted.

The Headteacher of this amazing primary school is looking to onboard an experienced primary HLTA to work across all primary year groups for a full academic year from Sept 24 to Aug 25.

The school is in a perfect location you have access to underground station, overground station and Bus stops in close proximity of the school.

As a Primary HLTA you will: 

  1. Plan, prepare and deliver specified learning activities to individuals, small groups and/or classes modifying and adapting activities as necessary.
  2. Whloe class teaching (this will include PPA and subject release) in Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 with a responsibilitiy of delivering a subject/curriculum area in all year groups.
  3. Assess, record and report on development, progress and attainment.
  4. Liaise with staff and other relevant professionals and provide information about pupils as appropriate. 
  5. Use teaching and learning objectives to plan, evaluate and adjust lessons/work plans as appropriate within agreed systems of supervision.
  6. Assess the needs of pupils and use knowledge and specialist skills to support pupils’ learning.
  7. Support pupils in social and emotional well-being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.
  8. Teaching Assistants at this level are expected to undertake at least one of the following:
  • Provide specialist support to pupils with learning, behavioural, communication, social, sensory or physical difficulties.
  • Provide specialist support to pupils where English is not their first language. o Provide specialist support to able pupils.
  • Provide specialist support to all pupils in a particular learning area (e.g. ICT, English, Maths, National Curriculum subject).

       9. Develop and implement Individual Development Plans for pupils (such as Provision Plans), including attendance at, and contribution to, reviews.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
