We are seeking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable Teacher of History to join our successful Humanities faculty at a thriving secondary school in the London Borough of Redbridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT or an experienced teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality History lessons and inspiring a love of the subject in young people.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach History across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities may be available for suitable candidates)

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-sequenced lessons that promote curiosity and critical thinking

  • Use assessment effectively to support progress and raise attainment

  • Contribute positively to the Humanities department and wider school community

  • Support students of all abilities to achieve strong outcomes

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Hold QTS (or be on track to achieve it)

  • Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for History

  • Be committed to high expectations and inclusive classroom practice

  • Be reflective, organised, and keen to develop professionally

  • Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
