The Role
We are seeking a passionate History Teacher to inspire pupils across KS3 and KS4. You will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that bring the past to life, helping students develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and a love of history.

 

School Information:

  • mixed, non-selective secondary school with Sixth Form, for ages 11-18.

  • Ofsted: Rated Good in the latest inspection (May 2022)

  • In recent GCSE results:
    • Very strong performance in Maths and English, with most students achieving grades 4-9 in both subjects.
    • More than 90% of students got grades 4-9 in Biology, Physics, and French; in Chemistry many achieved the top grades.
    • Subjects like Photography, Media Studies secured 100% good passes; Sport had high levels of Distinction or higher.

  • Numbers: around 800-1,100 pupils in the school; varied sources say about 800-900 actually enrolled

  • Strong subject knowledge and GCSE teaching experience
