Qualified History Teachers – Gloucester

We’re working with a number of secondary schools across Gloucester who are looking for confident, knowledgeable History teachers to join their teams. If you enjoy creating engaging lessons, building good routines, and helping students make sense of the world around them, this could be a great fit.

We have both cover roles and longer-term positions that include planning and marking. Whether you’re looking for something flexible or a stable role where you can properly settle into a department, we’ll help you find the right match.

What the roles involve

  • Teaching KS3 and KS4 History, with opportunities for A-level in some schools

  • Delivering well-structured lessons that support progress and positive classroom culture

  • Working closely with Humanities departments who value collaboration and consistency

  • Taking responsibility for planning and marking where required

  • Creating a calm, purposeful environment where students feel supported

  • QTS and solid History subject knowledge

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
