The role

As a History Teacher, you will:

  • Teach History across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities available for suitable candidates)

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that develop historical knowledge, analysis, and evaluation skills

  • Differentiate effectively to support pupils of mixed abilities, including those with SEND

  • Maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment

  • Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

  • Work collaboratively within the Humanities department and wider staff team

This role is suitable for ECTs, experienced teachers, and those returning to the profession.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS (or equivalent UK teaching qualification)

  • Has experience teaching History in UK secondary schools

  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and confident classroom management

  • Is committed to inclusive practice and safeguarding

  • Is reliable, adaptable, and professional

  • Is happy to work PAYE, with clear and transparent pay

Pay & contract

  • £163–£265.92 per day, depending on experience

  • Weekly PAYE pay – no umbrella companies, no hidden deductions

  • Long-term and day-to-day supply opportunities available, with potential for continuity
