History Cover Teacher – Secondary Schools Near You
Pay: £130–£150 per day for day-to-day, pay to scale for long-term (M1–M6)
Contract: Day-to-day and long-term available

Protocol Education are recruiting qualified History Teachers to support secondary schools across North Somerset. You’ll step into lessons with pre-set plans, keeping learning purposeful and engaging while enjoying real flexibility.
This role is ideal for teachers who love bringing the past to life, without the marking pile following them home.

• Teaching KS3 and KS4 History using pre-planned lessons
• Encouraging discussion, curiosity and critical thinking
• Managing behaviour with calm authority
• Supporting pupils to stay focused and engaged
• Feeding back to the class teacher
✅ Requirements
• UK QTS
• Experience teaching History in UK secondary schools
• Confident classroom presence
• Positive and adaptable attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
